CHAIRMANS REPORT SEASON 2022/23

As we come to the end of our 9th season & my 1st as League Chair I would like to say a massive thanks to the Coaches, parents, referees, committee members, volunteers & especially the Players for your ongoing commitment & support. Without all of you there would be NO Futsal in the County. I would like to give a special thanks to our Secretary Hamzah Kadiri who has worked hard this season to make sure Futsal has continued in the County & our former Chairman & Secretary Ian Bannister for his work over recent years & his support behind the scenes. We lost Rosanna Frith- Salam from the committee this season due to relocation but welcomed Adie Thornborrow as Discipline Secretary. Adie has a wealth of experience & will be a valuable asset to the league. Sayed Kadri has worked hard & done a great job to develop our New referees & Sophie Jackson has proved to be a valuable member of the committee with her input in committee meetings & behind the scenes work. Season 2022/23 has been very challenging due to many reasons, but we are determined to improve & move the league in the right direction next season. We continue to have a very good relationship with Crown Hills Community College & Beauchamp College who host most of our games but also have options at several other venues which we will explore next season. I am sure you would wish to join me in congratulating Ben Taylor who plays in goal for the PSA open aged team & has played in the league in recent years. Ben is now part of the Derby Futsal & England U19 squads. Also congratulations must go to one of our committee members Sophie who has been appointed as a referee to the Grand Finals of the National Futsal Series at St Georges Park on the weekend of 3rd/4th June. Good luck to all of our teams who will take part in the Pokemon Regional Finals on 10th June. Lets hops they all make it to the National Finals. Finally, looking forward to our upcoming 10th Season I can guarantee that we will continue to work hard to deliver Futsal to this County & as always aim to be approachable to all by being present on a regular basis at our venues.
